So, as I predicted, everything did indeed look better in the morning. Yesterday was very fun. We went to two museums, on of which was really boring and one in which I lamented the inability to take pictures. I got some nice pictures with my grandma. we had a free evening so we went to a great cathedral built by some missionary who was a jerk and knocked down the native church. He did some good things too, but I would not have wanted to know him in person. I lit four candles there, three for specific people and one for safe travels for Becca, Kasey, Claire, Grandma and I. We also went to a chapel which has a self-supporting spiral staircase made entirely of wood that was built by an anonymous man who showed up after the nuns prayed for a staircase. That one was very commercialized. You had to go through the gift shop to leave. My grandma fell outside the chapel and she's a little bruised but thank god otherwise okay.
Today we went to the Puye which was pueblo built into the cliffs which was wonderful to look at and I really liked our guide. We went to another pueblo that is a national historical park as well called Pecos. I sat with a nice boy named Benjamin at lunch and two friends of his. He is a character. He's so funny, kind of loud when he wants to be but very polite. He has long hair and is quite eccentric by the standard of this group. He reminded me of Ashland. He somehow managed to find me and these two other quiet people in the group and get us all at one table with him, acting as sort of supporting actors to his show. It was very nice to talk with someone I thought I could actually be friends with in real life. He made a point after that of seeking me out, which was nice to, to know that he also enjoyed spending time with me.
I'm getting used to my grandma's particular brand of rudeness, although I about wanted to punch her when she kept interrupting my reading. She once even reached her arm directly over my book without asking and proceeded to have a conversation over me with her hand still there. I'm reading 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' for Comp and it's so philosophically wonderful to me. I tried to have a conversation with my grandmother about some of the ideas presented, but she was glazing over in that way people do when not only do they not understand but they would not enjoy it if they did. Where's Maddy when you need her?
I miss you all, can't wait to see you. Love you! <3

day 1: I MISS YOU
Hopefully I won't be boring you all by posting every day. That's a little excessive. But dear god do I miss all of you that I know in person. I could kiss someone right now. Anyone! I just need some physical contact or something! How the hell am going to survive those first few weeks of college without you I don't know.
We've had a bit of a trying day. We had a bus nearly two hours late and then our dinner was served late. Our main teacher is uninteresting, but he won't teach us much. It will all be better in the morning. We had a wonderful seminar with a drum maker and made drumsticks.
I doubt at this point I'm going to make fr
New Mexico
Hello from "enchanting New Mexico"! I'm currently with my grandma in our hotel room before dinner on our first day here. Haven't really gotten to see anything yet. We're with a bunch of grandparents and grandchildren. I'm probably the oldest, 15 is the age cutoff and I'm 16 next month. I met a nice 12-year-old named Claire on our shuttle to the hotel. There's also a Clara, Emma, and Sarah in our group that I haven't met yet. This is either going to make names easy to remember or hopelessly confusing.
I spent Friday evening and Saturday with my Seattle relatives. I t was a lot of fun to see them and I'll see them again for a couple da
I had this really detailed dream
I had stayed late at school for some reason, and when I was done I decided to go check out the play rehearsal because I had a friend working on it. I went in stage right through that door you're not supposed to go into. It was the end of the play and the audience was giving feedback. It appeared to be a play of homestuck. Mariah was playing Kanaya but had taken her wig off, as had all the cast members. Nobody was painted. There was a man playing a woman (perhaps Nanna?) who had also taken his wig off that I had noticed. The current audience feedback was congratulating the costume crew on the wigs.
One of the directors was getting tetc
So, 3.8 percent of the US population is queer . .
Of that, 1.8% are bisexual and 1.7% are gay or lesbian. Let's assume that 1.7% is half gay and half lesbian. Let's assume that 1.8% is half men and half women. So .9% of the population is female and bisexual, and .85% is lesbian. That means that 1.75% percent of the population is capable of being attracted to me and me being attracted back. A straight female has 47.1% of the population possible. Darn, my odds are bad.
On the other hand:
In the group of 11 friend I wrote down that I want to get a Christmas present for, at least five are bisexual, pansexual, or lesbians (of those 6 left, two are uncertain). That means 45% of m
